Didn’t they call finalists even after their offices closed? If so, their emails might as well work similarly.

has anyone heard of someone winning merit yet?
ugh this is sooo stressful. i haven’t heard ANY merit winners. so yeah they’ll probably work overtime and i wouldn’t be surprised if they pulled a fast one and your name shows up in the official list but you didn’t receive an email

250 HM we have only seen 10 winners so far.

Gonna be honest, I don’t think the number of Honorable Mentions we’ve seen on social media platforms so far is going to matter at all when there was just below half that number last year for finalists and I only managed to catch just over 10 people on social media talking about it for this year. People online have been quiet this year and the vast majority of students who submit don’t use these platforms.
Yeah I agree that the overall number def won’t be accurate, but the fact that some categories are still absolutely silent for HM just has my brain freakin out when there were even finalists for those categories talking about it
Yeah, and I get that, I just think people posting on social media has only ever really been useful for identifying when calls/emails have started and ended, but for very very little else.

i saw someone post something just 20 minutes okay on twitter about being an honorable mention, so i would guess they are still sending out even though the office is closed

Definitely not. We’ve heard absolutely nothing about merit both on social media and this forum, which is especially unusual even if the social media numbers are inaccurate, and we’ve also just heard from a few extra HM winners who’ve presumably received their emails a few minutes ago.
Plus, there’s just about five hundred emails they have to send to the remaining winners, which is an exorbitant amount of messages to send even within YoungArts’ afternoon office hours. The best indicator to know when they’re done is when they say they’re done.
