"your admission is contingent upon your continued strong academic performance"

What exactly does this mean? Can a couple of B's hurt you? I'm just so happy I got in....................I want to know it's all for certain, lol.

no a couple of B's def won't hurt. they just don't want you to completely slack off and get a crapload of C's or something.

ok great. This is so awesome!!!!

Yeah, I was worried about that too... Congrats guys!

It Is Done

Don't slack off too much. I got a D and they kinda threatened to revoke admissions. I had to get the grade changed and yeah....i'm still here at stanford right now, so who knows?

Dude seriously, Im partying from now on.

Forget senior year, haha

seriously you guys gotta get out and have fun, you deserve it

i feel incredible (and incredibly drunk)

so for the people who have been through this, what would be a minimum GPA to stay on Stanford's good side? How much can we slack off because I need to celebrate and just get wasted and get something pierced!!!!!

Perfect timing. Stanford admission - one day of school - 18 days of Christmas break.

Senior year is for all intents and purposes over. :)

Oh god. I still have finals next week. I wonder if I'm going to be able to force myself to study at all this weekend.

I got my decision last night before today- when I had 2/3 of my finals, haha. Needless to say I didn't study AT ALL.
I'll probably end up with 2 B+'s, 1 A- this semester.
And you know what? I DONT CARE!! haha.
I'd like to second, or third, the party suggestion. yay for senioritis and being done with college.

amen. the best part about the EA acceptance - besides getting into your dream school and being on your way to becoming Kristina Yang on Grey's ANatomy - is the relief!! screw finals! screw winter break homework! I'm gonna start ditching...and to celebrate, I'm gonna go get something pierced!

Not gonna lie, I don't see how driving foreign objects through your skin qualifies as 'celebration'. But, hey, it's your acceptance. =P

Today I went through my box of college crap and dug out the Stanford viewbook, and I'm getting more and more excited as I read through it. This is going to be freaking awesome.

At the risk of sounding like a complete loser... second semester senior year is your last chance to prepare you academically for college. I actually worked pretty damn hard second semester senior year. That was the first time that I really mastered super strong study skills (I always had good study skills, but this took it to a whole new level). This has made college life SO much easier.

marlgirl's a bummer! stay away from my awesome high! and I'm 10000000% sure (check out the crazy math skills) my study skills will improve dramatically as I get wasted, pierced and streak across some field with a bag over my head.
our viewbook is beautiful - especially compared to the NYU one that's 46 pages of really colorful pastel paper and practically nothing.

i didnt get a viewbook :(

unless its the thing that came in the folder with the application

Yeah, that's the viewbook.

has anybody gotten the big envelope yet?

I'm guessing the Cali people will get it saturday - it ususally takes 2 days for mail to travel thru cali. just wondering what people are planning to do with their real water-marked stanford-sealed envelopes...
my friend got her envelope from Northwestern, and I helped her burn it under the moonlight and throw the ashes into a lake. then we prayed to the moon and got wasted.
it's weird - we're wiccan atheists...don't ask.
but there's no way i'm burning my letter - I plan on laminating and framing it and hanging it up, after I tattoo it to my elbow.
...waiting by the mailbox!! i hope we get'em soon - and remember, we're already in! they can't reject us anymore!!
