Your ED Application Is In - What Are You Going To Do Now?

<p>This is a thread for all of the 09 Cornell EDers. Now that the deadline is past (well, will be past in half an hour, anyway), what are you doing/going to do until December 15th? </p>

<p>I submitted my stuff last night, and I just finished up an EA application an hour ago. I then watched the end of Saw II (one of my favorites). At the moment, I have a lot of personal stuff to deal with; my best friend and I are "fighting" because our group left me behind when they went trick-or-treating yesterday (to be fair, it was mostly my fault because I was 20 minutes late, but I have other reasons to be mad) and I just got my butt dumped by someone who I'm still "in love" with and who I still have to see every day. AP Biology is kicking my butt at this point (and I love biology), and calculus is an ever-looming threat. The school play is in 3 weeks and I haven't memorized any of my lines, and I'm determined to start working out again now that I'm not racing to complete my applications; after working out only sporadically for the last 2 months, my legs are jiggly. </p>

<p>Well, at least I'll be keeping busy until the 15th. Now it's your turn, fellow EDers.</p>

<p>One word: pray.</p>

<p>hahahaha want help with AP Bio? it's my best subject. or maybe calc?
and I plan on actually relaxing sometimes (and maybe slack off the tiniest bit) and slowlyyyy finish the rest of my apps (those rest are just three apps with ten schools in total I'm applying to hehehe).
Oh! And read a book finally. I haven't gotten to read since school started.</p>

<p>Amen, Shifu Yoda! </p>

<p>Mostly catch up on school work, and suffer from sporadic anxiety attacks about the decision/financial aid, etc.</p>

<p>I'm going to keep redirecting people to my post at:</p>

<p><a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/590959-will-having-no-science-subject-tests-hurt-my-chances-cals.html%5B/url%5D"&gt;http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/cornell-university/590959-will-having-no-science-subject-tests-hurt-my-chances-cals.html&lt;/a&gt;&lt;/p>

<p>until I get an answer so I can either: 1)Stop worrying or 2)Give up hope</p>

<p>My SAT scores are pretty much going to be the deciding factor for whether or not I get in.</p>

<p>Other than that, marching season is pretty much over, so I'll be focusing on other things besides band now. Yes! No more getting home at 7 pm!</p>

<p>To do list:
-Apply to USC, UC San Diego, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UT Austin, Duke, and some other schools
-Get ready for Model United Nations conference
-Catch up on french class assignments
-Do calculus homework
-Write an essay about Hamlet to turn in
-Talk with my internship coordinator about all the essays I have to write about what I did
-Write those essays (There's around ten things I have to write for the internship)
-Learn my music for a winter concert for band
-Prepare for the December SAT (I'll have 4-5 weeks to do so this time instead of the 1 hour everyday for a week before the October SAT)
-Decide whether or not I should take the ACT
-Go out and have a good time with friends
-Do the 60 day School of Phenomenal Memory Course + Learn the Giordano Memorization System in preparation for college
-Learn to swim (If I have to). I really hope I do, because it would mean that I've been accepted</p>

<p>I know I'm forgetting something but I can't actually put my finger on it.. oh well.</p>

<p>cornellhopeful13 = kMz?</p>

<p>We will all be anxious till Dec 15</p>

<p>^ LOL I just realized. cornellhopeful13 you logged in the wrong account... by the way which identity do you really belong...</p>

<p>I only have one account on here... I don't know what you're talking about.</p>

<p>Edit:
Differences between me and him: </p>

<p>I took physics LAST year.
I live in TEXAS.
I DON'T know Korean.
I DIDN'T erase all my bubbles on the physics test.
I'm applying to BIOLOGY AND SOCIETY. He's applying to AEM.</p>

<p>Oh wait, I just looked again. At first it looked like you were kMz because that thread was originally posted by kMz, but a few posts in you ask your question. That's what we meant.</p>

<p>Wait. Damn I wish time went by quicker.</p>

<p>Do you guys think Cornell will postpone the decision-releasing date this year? I hope not ><</p>

<p>What was the ED due date last year?</p>

<p>^well last year I believe it was postponed cuz December 15th fell on a weekend. this time it's on a Monday (and I have TWO finals at that very lovely university of your choice!)</p>

<p>I don't even connect college applications with what happened last year around this time in my life. they feel like two separate times but they apparently overlapped. really weird. I don't know that I changed my behavior much after the app was sent though...I didn't start getting seriously nervous until like 2 or 3 days before the decisions came out. that wasn't even fun...counting down the hours, really expended a lot of energy on it. haven't felt like that about anything since!</p>

<p>im going to be breathing</p>

<p>-Finish up all RD applications (Bowdoin, Skidmore, SUNY Geneseo, SUNY Binghamton)
-Attempt to survive AP Biology
-Working on my stereotypes study for my SUPA Psychology class
-Keep some assemblage of a social life in existence
-Maybe fit in some eating and sleeping around the edges? Maybe?
-Sending "PLEASE ACCEPT ME..." telepathic messages to all Cornell adcoms. :D</p>

<p>ahh.
just doing homework and stuff.
calc II finals will be in december and then i have calc III to worry about. ugh!!
hopefully cornell will accept me. :]
They know they want too. haha just kidding.</p>

<p>I just wanted to know the DEADLINE, because they came back around the same time expected this year, but they started later.. i think..</p>

<p>do any of you guys have the application status page saying the school report and final high school transcript have not been received yet? My school claimed they sent it on like october 15th...so it shoudln't take two weeks right? And does the postmark date apply to school report and transcript too?</p>

<p>Yes I have that Silverz! My guidance counselor sent it October 16th, so maybe they just haven't processed either of ours yet.
And it says both school report and transcript for mine too.</p>

<p>As for the OP's question, I will be:
-Attempting to pass AP Physics, Calc 3, AP English Lit, AP Spanish, AP Economics, and Chinese
-Attempting to speak Chinese with just about every Chinese person I see (because I'm cool like that)
-Studying for my Calc 3 test tomorrow that's going to kick my butt
-Gloating about our Masterminds victory last week (woot)
-Pulling together a project about Gaudi
-Having a heart attack about twice a week due to Cornell-related anxiety
-Completing applications for Williams, Penn, Dartmouth, Yale, Harvard, SUNY Geneseo, Tufts, SUNY Binghamton, and Brandeis in case Cornell decides to "unfortunately not be able to offer me admission at this time"
-Having some semblance of a social life
-Do my laundry (because it's getting out of control)
-Trying not to check my application status more than once a day</p>
