I bought an omniheat beanie and omniheat light vest. They were both a lot cheaper than original price and I can use them on upcoming trip to stay warm!
Happen to see that LOTS of patio furniture is like half price at Target online including StudioMcGee , one of their premier lines.
Thought it worth while to share!
Not exactly a great buy but back in January, I bought first class tickets for us from San Diego and son from Seattle to fly to Newark for nephew’s wedding in early June. (Using money inherited from my mother.) I figured prices could only go up, and for the most part that was true. But I kept checking prices, and out of the blue last month, son’s initial flight showed a price drop of $410. I ended up on Alaska Airlines chat and the agent changed the price and gave us a $410 credit to use for future flights. That lower price was only available for one day; no idea why.
I bought some ultra warm heat tech tights at Uniqlo. They were $30 apiece, but because I went to the store, I could try them all on and buy the size and warmth I wanted.
They reminded me of similar garments I bought at a name brand outdoors store for more than 2x the price.
If I had just gone by the sizing chart I would not have bought the size that fit me best and would have waffles about which warmth leave to choose: Warmer or Ultra (I already had the thin thermals and they don’t keep me warm enough).
I bought two American Girl dolls the other day for about $35 each instead of the normal price (one was $250 because it included a ‘little sister’ doll). No notice that they have shipped, not on the web anymore, so who knows if I’ll ever see them.
Where did you buy from? The AG store? Ebay?
It was the AG store (I hope!) An ad came up on FB and I was worried about a scam at first but when I went in it took me to the AG store (correct web address). Then my credit card was rejected (Chase sent me a notice) but then it went through. These were the prior ‘girl of the year’ dolls and one was a Chinese doll and one a cowgirl theme with blond hair and green eyes. I just happen to have a Chinese kid and a blond with green eyes (who is a cowgirl) so I couldn’t resist. SOMEDAY I’ll have grandchildren…
Edit: I think it might be a scam. I clicked back on now and it has a weird hotmail address. Think I’ll cancel through Chase.
I wanted to get some small, inexpensive and unobtrusive tags to add to my carry on luggage, in case I misplace something on our travels. (It’s challenging when you need a lot of medical equipment & Rx—just more stuff to have to tote and keep track of.). i checked two CVS stores, an organizer store and finally a hardware store, next to the key cutting dept. That’s where I found the small little plastic tags I wanted with small sturdy metal jump rings. It was 6 tags for $4 instead of $4-10/tag.
When I got home I printed my first name and cell # and inserted it in the little spot for information. I also printed my email address and taped it onto the back of the tag. I like labeling things for peace of mind—things can get misplaced when traveling so easily.
They look like these and were in stock.

Once again Kohl’s has made it hard to quit them, no matter how much of a non-fan I am. They are again paying me to “buy” stuff from them. I needed a new lightweight 25” piece of luggage so did some research and found one that had a decent interior size, was one of the lightest I could find and had good reviews. Best price I could find was with the 40% off coupon I’d gotten in my email from Kohl’s. So, I ordered it a day or 2 ago (free shipping) and then got $30 in Kohl’s cash to use starting today. I saw an Izod button down shirt for DH I thought he’d like. Original full price (which no one pays) was $60. On sale for $36. I applied the $30 credit and also there was a 25% off anything ordered on line today. Took the final price down to $4.77. I opted to pick it up at the store (right up the road, very nearby) and by doing that they will give me $5 credit . So they in essence are paying me 23 cents to buy the shirt. Oh, and from the luggage I ordered yesterday, I’l get $15 in “kohl’s cash” available for use at the end of the month. So, these 2 credits will combine for a $20 credit on my account. Maybe I’ll find something for one of the grandkids to waste the $20 on.
I got 2 of these at Costco yesterday for 5 bucks each. I actually try not to buy stuff just because it’s cheap, but my cats love stuff like this, and so do my kid’s pets. For 5 bucks, if they ruin them, so what, right?

You got a blanket for 5 bucks? Nice!
These are very, very nice. HUGE. I bought one in 2022 and actually cut it in two and yep, use it for our dog on one end of a couch and to put on a quilt of one spare bed he loves to sleep on during the day. They wash really nice and are thick and soft. I also bought two of these to give to my college aged nephews for Christmas! They visited during that terrible frigid time this year at Christmas and put them to use right away!
Editing to say this would make a great dorm bed cover especially for those in colder climates.
You got a steal @1214mom !
I think they were on sale at Costco for maybe 20 bucks, but my store wanted to get rid of the last several. I only noticed because 2 employees were talking about them as I was walking by.
Great deal! For $5 price I might have been tempted to get one for local charity.
For months we have been on the hunt for Safeguard soap (husband’s favorite, not as available as it used to be) in color White (I don’t like yellow soap steaks o the white tile). This week I found it a the dollar store. Two medium sized bars for $1.25.
That’s my H’s preferred bar soap as well. When I see it at target I buy the multipacks. Every so often it completely disappears from everywhere.
I’ll check out the dollar store!
Was at a thrift shop yesterday and ended up buying a short quilted jacket that I was not really looking for. But… it can be hard to find a good fit, and this $2 size 4P jacket called out to me. It was fun getting a nice complement on it today at first wearing.
Amazon’s today’s deals has great sale on Baggalini purses. Only good for next two hours though.
Thanks for the tip! My little silver quilted dress purse is just a bit too small to hold all I want. Almost all my purses are Baggallini since I want the lightest weight possible so this was perfect!
Deal of the day: Baggallini Modern Everywhere Slim Crossbody https://a.co/d/eN5H33l
Nope. Do not need a new Baggallini.
sigh. it’ll be here on Saturday. (Did delay it… to come along with my previous Amazon purchases.)
Note to self: If I’ve told you once, I’ve told you 17 times–Stay off this thread! It’s costly!
