university of new mexico

jack > Like you and shorty I've been accepted at UofO in general, but have not heard from the arch dept. Sad part is I liked the dept when I toured, (kids have microwaves under their studio tables!) got along well with the dean and she looked at my portfolio, 'liked' it, and made a few small suggestions, yet I FORGOT to send them my portfolio, just plain forgot... at times I'm an idiot... So I won't hear from them.

Good luck to you and shorty.

angie > sorry, no digital portfolio, hey I'll trade you USC for one of the others !

shorty> do you know if Syracuse finished Slocum Hall?

yeah what noopsgnitaenam said is right. that's exactly what they said when i went to visit over the summer. does anyone happen to know when they release decsions? i know that it said in the middle of march on the website but i was just wondering if anyone knew the specific date in march...

my portfolio was weak for u of o as well. i did such a crappy job on the assigned self-portrait and my essay was orginal but not what they were looking for i don't think. oh well..

I dunno, 3 weeks should be long enough to do the whole thing. A kid at my school did a self portrait (for art school) in pencil that took a month working on it everyday. I bet she erased and re-drew every pencil line a hundred times. Is that a real example of her work?

3 weeks is a really short amount of time. Probably the total amount of time I spent on my work was over 3 weeks if you count all the seconds that went into it. Personally, a real example of your work is the work that wasn't created with the idea 'I need to make this for my portfolio.'
