yeah the ones at cornell over the summer were interesting,. like i'd be working in the studio doing my own thing and then my TA would come over and say something like, 'well Sarah, what you have is really interesting but in order to make it better do this this and this." and then the next day in the critique i would follow his advice and present and he'd say, 'sarah, what the hell is this crap?" i'd never know what he wanted. the worst thing that any one ever told me at cornell was that a my model looked worse then a diarama a second grader would make. i really need to get some balls before school. for lack of a better phrase...

hah, Sarah I got the same thing from my TA too. I basically just ended up not following what she wanted, so during the review she'd say it was crap, and then when they went to go hang things up and stuff she came up to me and was like "I was looking at your project again today and it is really good." Like blah, k thanks, why didn't you look at it during the actual review.

-Cornell (Rejected ED)
-Carnegie Mellon University
-Rice University
-University of Southern California
-University of Notre Dame

ooh, you're my competition for cornell, cmu, and usc :]

your ranking, gpa, and act are higher than me so you'll probably have a better chance :]

also..update on my accepted schools:
vtech and utoronto

oh my god, i'm so jealous.
i wanna go to virigina tech!! ahhh i should have applied.

shoulda coulda woulda...lol

aw, i've been hearing so many people regretting where they applied or wanting to apply elsewhere :[

you could always transfer, you know!

yeah, if only.

but i was thinking about it and the one reason why i am even considering uo is because i get 7 grand a year to go there for all five years or something...so it's a lot cheaper.

and blacksburg, va would be VERY boring...
i'm not sure about RPI though, that might be sort of fun, in new york.

bleh...i hated rpi when i visited.

it's a few hours from nyc. it's by albany - which is an OKAY little city - it only has people because its the capital of ny.

rpi has nothing by it. there's absolutely nothing to do there. kids look depressed. campus is dark. there doesn't seem to be life - but hey, the kids are smart!

not for me, that's all haha

hahahah oh my gosh. that description made me laugh out loud!!!

LOL!!! "kids look depressed. campus is dark. there doesn't seem to be life - but hey, the kids are smart!"

well i am glad i didn't apply then. what a relief. i thinking i was having a case of cold feet on where i will spend the next five years of my young adult life.

hahah i just got into rpi arch. and my feelings are the same [grey, depressed, creepy surrounding town], but it is a good arch program! and hey...life is what you make it, right? i don't know if i'm going yet.

oh yeah i felt that way about pratt. i mean it was juat like if i move to the east coast i would rather be in manhattan than broklyn. i dunno. there are so many places that i feel like i should have applied to but i decided against applying to tech schools becasue there are so many classes that i want to take that they don't offer, but i proabaly should have applied to more like for back ups. haven;t heard from syracuse and assuming i didn;t get in (i know i shouldn't jump to conclusions but still) and since i didn't get into cornell early i don't have much hope for rice. but i'm still holding on to u of o...

wow yeah i felt the same about pratt too! that made me decide against applying to only-art schools like risd.... good luck, and don't give up hope for syracuse - i haven't!

pratt i haven't visited, i wanted to go, but i am scared of new york sort of. i went once and liked it, but felt soooo so out of place. so i never applied. same with cornell, syracuse, cmu, risd, rice, rpi, etc... plus i don't have the grades or scores for them...

i belong on the west coast. haha. U of O!! :]

haha location wise - i got the cities covered: toronto, montreal, new orleans, new york, pittsburgh, chicago, los angeles, boston, etc.

pratt isn't as depressing as rpi, but its pretty dreary in its own way.

bklyn is a different place. some people love it. some people just don't.

i would LOVE montreal. i have always wanted to go there. not necessarily for college, but maybe just to visit. i love it that everyone speaks french there!

angie, there isn't much surf, but i think you would love san francisco! it's my favorite city in the world, besides like paris, wash. d.c, and seattle.

angie4life...

don't worry about cornell, i'm not your competition, i got rejected..

USC - i don't know.. its so dar away from where i live...

Carnegie, hopefully i'll see you there?? lol

montreal's very cute...i mean all of quebec may actualyl be....more european than europe, if thats possible haha. i think more places should be bilingual!!!

eh, im going to toronto - theres no surf there...at all, but im gonna figure things out i guess.

lori - sorry about cornell...usc would be nice, and even though im incredibly fond of cmu (did a summer program there)...utoronto seems like where im headed.

lori, i got rejected from cornell early too. :( i'm sorry... i'm still kind of sad about it in way. but i guess it's hard for me to let go of it altogether because i did the summer program there last summer... sigh okay, i'm done now.

i love montreal.
:]

i wanna go. my mom speaks french fluently, so i will tag along with her and be a local. everyone in france mistakes her for a french canadian! haha
