I agree. I just wanted to show that this law is absurde for a reason.

I'd probably care more if I hadn't been drinking since I was 14 and if the stores around here didn't sell both liquor and beer to minors.

Ahh, feels weird to get up at 5:37 lol. Good evening everyone. Um first off, yeah I'm a guy. I posted a link to my webshots on another thread, and I did say I was 6 feet and 195 lbs. If I were a girl like that, I don't think I'd be doing any of the things I talk about lol.
I also think this 21 thing is crap. I've been drinking socially and with my family since I was arround 12. I'm a strong beleiver that being exposed to alcohol in a controlled fashion at an early age makes you a better, safer drinker. I've never blacked out, only gotten sick a handful of times, and In general stay in control and don't do stupid dangerous things. In contrast, I see other people and friends who have never really drank until they got to college. They do stupid things all the time and some even get hurt pretty bad. I don't have figures to back it up, but from what I hear when the age was 18 in America, there was much less binge drinking and alcohol poisioning.

When I came home from Cornell I realized I had basically forgotten that it's illegal to drink under 21. Alcohol is so easily attainable at college (if you want it) that coming home was like... whoa, I'd actually have to find somebody over 21 to go to a liquor store?

Alcohol is so easily attainable on Long Island, for girls.

Everything is more attainable for girls.

Absolutely.

Oh btw spanks (A.C.) that's me as God on the facebook. And no, we did not hook up.

Mrnova, that's you on Facebook as God the Almighty?

Ha, oh boy...

Hahaha, that's ****in hilarious. And your mystery frat is unveiled...

You're from Jersey too?

Yup, that's me. I was one of the first people to figure out how to make alternate fake profiles on facebook (at least at Cornell) when it first came out. I used to have my real cell # and screen name listed. But I got calls and IM's from weird people trying to be funny. The calls were mostly drunk guys thinking they were hillarious. The IM's were from weird girls who tried to flirt with me, well not me, with god, that's what made it creepy. I also got facebook messages from people, things like dear god blah blah. I hate when lame people try to be funny. So now the only thing my real profile shares in common is the high school lol (I'm actually libertarian)

Do you have a real Facebook account or is that your only one?

hey how do u make fake ones? could it work for HS facebook?! :p!!

Yeah I'm from jersey. And it wasn't a myster frat, no one asked me which I was in :)

bump... thanks mrnova

mrnova, how is the greek scene there? i go to suny stonybrook right now but i have a gt for next year. here, the houses are off campus and there are only about 5 big frats (aepi, apd, zbt, axp, and sammy) and only about 5 big sororities (phi sig, tpa, sdt, asa, and sis) so i didn't really get into the whole greek thing, haha but i do have the perks of it since my roommate is in one. i was thinking about rushing in the spring.. do you have any suggestions for a partying, athletic, down-to-earth kind of girl? also i'm going to play for the rugby team (i do here at sbu) so maybe one that wouldnt clash (you know what i mean lol)? i heard the tri delts and aeps were cool. what frat are you in?

mrnova...just wondering, which fraternity are you in and what frats (other than your own) do you consider to be the best? Also, if you wouldn't mind, could you touch on the stereotypes (yes, i know, they are often way off but it's still interesting to hear about them) of some of the frats?

Thanks in advance

yeah that would be interesting to know the stereotypes too. i saw which frats stonybrook and cornell have in common and that would be funny if they ran from chapter to chapter. here ZBT guys are pretty much really muscular, on the shorter side, and they all spike their hair up (gotti-style), SAM guys are really layed back and awesome to party with, like you could go to a mixer in sweats. and as for sororities, SDTs are pretty much the ho sorority here, sorry to say lol

also how are the AXiDs? my mom was one at maryland and that would be kind of cool to be one at cornell

i like the descriptions. i thought some of em were pretty accurate.
