Yikes! Scary at that low vaccination rate. Pm with which county that is,I lived there for 30 years
Essex County MA 58.37% fully vaccinated. Surprising since some poorer gateway cities like Lynn, Lowell and Lawrence are included.
Wow my county numbers are great - Morris County, NJ
% of Population ≥ 12 Years of Age Fully Vaccinated 70.9%
Thank you for that info. I went to VA’s site:
https://www.vdh.virginia.gov/coronavirus/covid-19-vaccine-summary/
to look at FIL’s counties. For his summer county they’re at:
53.6% of adult population
And where his house is they’re at:
63.9% of the adult population.
That makes me breathe quite a bit easier TBH.
I wonder why VA and the CDC aren’t sharing numbers?

CDC website reports N/A for every category. This morning’s newspaper quotes county public health as saying 51% of those eligible have had at least one dose. The numbers are significantly lower in poorer, Hispanic neighborhoods.
I hope that people are not accepting one dose as ok. One vaccine + variant = not a good % of protection.
This is why I am more interested in full vaccination rates.
My county in CT (rural northwest corner) has a just under 60% fully vaccinated rate.
A comparison between fully vaccinated and at least one dose percentages does provide some useful information about how many are “in progress”. A large difference now (more than six weeks after easy availability) suggests that there could be many who started the process late for whatever reason. Or (perhaps more pessimistically), many who got the first dose of a two dose vaccine but decided not to get the second dose.
Montgomery County, MD: 80.6% of those 12 and over are fully vaccinated
CT
County data: 54.9% fully vaccinated
My town borders two counties. The other county is 59.1%.
Monmouth County, NJ:
Percent of population fully-vaccinated: 51.4%
12 and up: 59%
18 and up: 62.6%
65 and up: 76.4%
Missouri is doing awful and is a complete embarrassment.
St. Louis County is at 46.9% though.
@groundhog74 just want to say this wasn’t started as a competition but as an awareness! But I get how you feel.
So what do we have posted so far? Low range in the 40’s% and a high of about 80% ???
You can see there is really a wide range of vaccine compliance.
Drat! I was hoping to win. lol It’s just frustrating how terrible our numbers are right now. Hospitals were running out of ventilators over the weekend.
In California, Lassen County is at 26.1% fully vaccinated of the total population (with very few more in progress with one of two doses). Many other rural counties are under 40%.
I teeter between 2 counties. Both showing low transmission right now. I work in a moderate transmission county.
The fully vax rates are around 60-70%. (90% for seniors).
I was a bit of a long hauler. Thankful for natural antibodies that stuck around longer than usual in my house (everyone in the house had Covid end of last year). We are now getting vaccinated next week. Due to my past medical history, we had to await some more final data on side effects of the vaccine.
Numbers for my county in Maryland - I’m too lazy to retype so here is a screenshot. Numbers are better than I thought!
We’re on the border of two counties. 60/66% full/1 dose in one and 62/76 in the other.
Interesting that over 65 is reported at 99.9% with at least one dose.
I was somewhat surprised that where my D just moved, in NC with its lower overall rates, is at 65/75.
My 80-yr-old FIL, in a sub-50% central PA country, is the one I worry about.
(Interesting that a post discussing the factual data of statistical correlation was flagged).
IL
State:
Fully vaccinated over 18+ 57%, one dose 70%
County:
Fully vaccinated over 18+ 59%, one dose 76%
My town also has data because we have our own health department:
Fully vaccinated over 12+ (the town stopped sharing the metric for over 18+) - 77%, one dose 84%
