<p>(Almost a starcraft reference with PvY, but too bad...)</p>

<p>There it is: probably two of the most popular cartoon series - Pokemon and Yugioh. </p>

<p>Each with their innovative features, characters, and themes...The heart of the cards against the belief in one. The soul. Genius soul. Evolving creatures. </p>

<p>Pikachu vs Dark Magician.
Blastoise vs Blue eyes white dragon.
Celebi vs exodia!
Ash vs Yugi.</p>

<p>Pokemon vs Yugioh, </p>

<p>What's your pick?
Mine's pretty much pokemon. Yugioh with its petty cards and monsters don't have the slightest chance against the pokemon epic; have you seen those creatures? </p>

<p>I've probably covered a fraction of a fraction of the things to be said about this. </p>

<p>Oh and the motivation factor to make this thread was simply because I flipped on the channel and saw Pokemon show thingy come up or something like that you know the old version with ash but then the new regions are always developing and Yugioh related thing also came up with some new references to god cards and such with different set of monsters and tournaments and et cetera you know? some "flashbacks" to these cartoons... popular list or something. It could be just my fancy, though. </p>

<p>Btw I pretty much feel intoxicated right now after barely getting 7 hours of sleep so I may not be entirely sane. Perhaps. The lugia. Excuse my grammar.</p>

<p>As a card game? Pokemon.</p>

<p>Video game: Pokemon hands down. Yugioh games are OK.</p>

<p>This is a no-brainer for those of us born in the 1990s.
TV Show: Pokemon. But once there started to be things called Treeactylmon, YuGiOh took over.
Card Game: I used to have all 150 cards until they all got stolen :( I never played the actual game with those marble things and element cards or whatever. YuGiOh is more fun to play but Pokemon is more fun to collect.
VIdeo Game: RED VERSION FOR THE WIN.</p>

<p>I remember owning with Card-game for Yugioh, wow, for like 2 years trading and stuff, it was awesome. Pokemon card games never really scratched the surface of what it means to PLAY CARDS.</p>

<p>Oh, video game...please. Pokemon >>> Yugioh by a long shot. (I've actually beat like all 8 versions or so on emulator the last week with speed xD)</p>

<p>Pokemon used to be my LIFE. Game-boy, cards, money, everything. I loved the pokemon ambiance back in 1999.</p>

<p>Never played/watched Yugioh. Pokemon was awesome enough to keep me riveted until I grew out of it. :)</p>

<p>tv shows: i watched both.
card games: yugioh. i only played for a couple of years though.
video games: pokemon!! i completely owned yellow and gold. kinda stopped after than though.</p>

<p>after 4 years of not playing anything, i still remeber a bunch of pokemon stuff. so pokemon is more awesome.</p>

<p>btw, i never got why everyone thought charmander > squirtle. this is how i always though it. </p>

<p>squirtle vs charmander, water > fire
squirtle vs bulbasaur, ice > grass, grass > water</p>

<p>so squirtle wins 2 out of 3 times. that's why squirtle was the best.</p>

<p>just my opinion though :)</p>

<p>I just figured out that people actually died in Yu-gi-oh. It's the stupid American dub that sent the characters "to the SHADOW REALM."
My dad used to buy me pokemon cards when he went on business trips to Japan, but then, when I wanted MTG cards, he decided to stop buying cards altogether. He called them useless pieces of cardboard. :-(
I had to buy MTG cards with my own saved money and stopped playing after the new cards started getting a bit overpowered.
Anyways, Pokemon > YuGiOh</p>
