Your reason for choosing law

I am just curious to know why people on this forum decided/is deciding to go to law school and practice law. I feels like quite a few people are just in it for the potential six-figure salary, while some seem to be genuinely interested in law. If you fall under the latter category, what about law made you want to pursue it?

Term papers.

In college, I decided early that the most hated and inane activity was to prepare term papers. I looked around for a major where term papers were held to a minimum and settled on a dual economics and math major. I was considering grad school when a law student I met at a party told me that in law school, except for one research and writing course, there are no term papers. I decided then and there that was what I wanted to do.

^ o.O Wonderful logic :P Lol, and I'm not even being sarcastic! xD

Complete failure of imagination on my part.

You'd fit in well. Lawyers and pre-law students tend to be that boring type of people who lack imagination.

cbb, aren't you that college kid who occasionally comes here to make very negative and completely foolish statements about attorneys?

I've been practicing law for 27 years, so I made it work for me.

I want to pursue law for the simple reason that it fasinates me.....
