Your strategies for SSAT prep

<p>I'm making vocab flashcards for the verbal section. If I know the meaning of the word, I can usually answer the questions, but often I run into words I've never seen before. On the back of the flashcards, I'm writing not only the definition, but a word that I already know with a similar sound and meaning. For example, for "punctilious" I put "punctual". I find "association" (my name for this method) helpful for everything from phone numbers to chinese characters.</p>

For everything else, I just studied and wrote lots of practice essays. I think the Princeton Review book is the best, and definitely better than Kaplan - I had both. Remember to strictly time yourself for practice tests and essays.</p>
