How does the youSC portal work? I applied last night. Should I be expecting an email from USC? I tried registering an account with the youSC portal but it says my email is already used.
With 55K+ applications annually, it takes them a few weeks usually to establish every application portal. But yes - they will eventually send you an email once it is fully ready to reflect updates, missing items, etc. Good luck…
You should receive it in 1-2 days. However, there’s nothing there though. They won’t even tell you the decision on the web site.
Looks like they’ll use snail mail to send the notifications?
“We will notify you of our decision by April 1. We will mail our notice to the address you provided in your application”
Also, if you have registered for USC tour or info session or “Discover USC” event before, your account already exist and you’ll use the same USC ID and email to login.
They are old school and mail packages then send email with status (in or not) 2-4 days after packages start arriving. They eventually update portal, which for some is the first they hear because their mail time is longer than 3-4 days. Great system if accepted, kinda brutal if not, tbh.
Does anyone know where to find your USC ID?
@azforpres You will receive an email from admissions thanking you for applying. It will include your USC ID and instructions for accessing the portal.
To log into the portal, if you previously set up a visit, use the same email and password. If you forgot your password, use the “Forgot Password” button.
