<p>all4game, check post #4 of this thread - I linked two programs that are excellent for people who want to work in or manage zoos. They are both 2-year programs, very competetive to get into, and require that you have completed 5 specific GE courses before applying. Many students then also complete a BS in Animal Science, biology, or related field at another college. One is in Florida (specifically zookeeping) and the other in California (zookeeping + exotic animal training).</p>
<p>Should I go into biology instead of animal science? It seems like it’s only about farm animals and husbandry, which I’m not very interested in…</p>

<p>May I suggest to the posters who would like to work in zoos, go to the Association of Zoos and Aquariums website, aza.org. There are lists upon lists of job openings along with the qualifications and degree majors that they are looking for. This may assist in your decision for your UG major.</p>
