Can anyone provide more insight to the Zoology program at Miami? D has been accepted to Miami with full OOS tuition and is very interested in attending. Through my research on CC it seems a lot of Zoology majors are Pre-Med. D wants to work with primates and other exoctic animals, looking to conduct research, and possibly vet school after undergrad. Can someone with experience with Zoology major share what the program is like?
D has also been accepted to UCSB Pre-Zoology, USC Biological Sciences, Cal Poly SLO Animal Science and is waiting on UC Davis and UCLA. We are California residents so in state tuition for all but USC. However she is a Presidential finalist at USC so hopefully 1/2 tuition.
We are planning on visiting Miami and the University of Kentucky (Patterson Scholarship) to help with her decision but a one time visit might not be enough.
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
