I'm 0.4 points off an A in AP US, (1362.2/1514) or 89.973 percent. My teacher's rounding policy is based off of perceived effort. While I act somewhat flippant in class, I am an active participant and are quite dilligent about doing the work at home. I think he probably believes that I have not put in good enough effort and refuses to round. What suggestions do you all have to convince him that we should find 0.4 points someplace.

Before the semester ends, start participating in class by answering his questions, asking a question about a topic, not falling asleep in class or talking in class. If you really need the points, ask him if you can write a research paper on the topic you’re studying in class and present your research to the class. If you do this, make sure it’s top-notch. Good Luck.

Semester ended today. I got one of the highest grades on the final out of both sections, so he knows I’m smart. I think he probably thinks that because I’m smart I didn’t put in enough effort over the semester.
