<p>i heard the same from some friend today but it sounded rather odd he said there were 16,000 applicants and only 5,000 were accepted.. i tought it was more like 11,000 or 10,000 were accepted</p>
<p>yeah it probably said something like 16,000 applied and only 5,000 spots or something like that. they probably accepted like 10k. so the acceptance rate is probably the same we just misinterpretted the info.</p>
