Is it possible to do 2 urops per term, if each urop requires about 6 hours per week? Is this allowed?

my friend does 2 urops at a time, and he puts in a fair amount of hours. he also takes 6-9 classes/semester (cough smart cough). so it's doable.

People like vecter's friend make me want to eat a rock.

Anyway. You're allowed to do whatever number of UROPs you can handle, but I have a feeling the UROP office might not fund you for two UROPs in one term (or at least that it might be difficult to get said funding for two projects). But if you're doing it for credit or your supervisor has money with which to fund you, you're in the clear.

what does UROP stand for?

I don't remember, but I think it means 'Unilateral Response of Pre-emption'

Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program, iirc. Too lazy to look it up, but I think that's it.

I would have to say that people like the friend mentioned above are anomalies. Average class load is 4 classes. Adding 1 UROP would be possible for some. Adding 2 would be impossible for most.
