1 week sufficient to prep for Math II?

Title says it all. I got the Barrons Math 2 book but I'll start prepping Saturday when I come back from taking the ACT. What is life.

Is 1 week sufficient to get between 760 and 800 on the Math II Subject Test? I'm willing to put down an hour or two a day. Should I straight up just finish Barrons and then keep taking practice tests?

Can anyone provide any tips/advice? First time taking the subject tests -_-

If you’re solid with algebra, geometry, pre-calculus topics, you should be fine. Maybe take a couple practice tests in order to get a “feel” for the actual exam.

Depends. If you’re familiar with algebra, geometry, and pre-calc, then you should do pretty well.

If you’re a little rusty, then you would have to buckle down and study your but off.

If you’ve more than a little rusty, then things may be pretty difficult.

I’m a bit rusty (took PreCalc sophomore year, procrastinated subject tests…), but I have a good overview over most those things.

Forgot the little things like polar coordinates and trig identities. Are there lots of trig identitites questions on sat 2 math? I remember I absolutely hated those…

There is some trig, but nothing too advanced. Maybe the very basic sin^2(x) + cos^2(x) = 1 (which you can derive lots of other identities from), as well as double-angle formulas, and law of sines/cosines.

The SAT II for Math is pretty easy. If you took precalc is sophomore year, you should be fine. I’m assuming your taking calc/upper level math at this point, so there is basically nothing to go over. For trig identities and polar coordinates, just go over them in a practice book. No one topic has such a large impact on the entire score, since there’s a fair curve.
