<p>The docfrances will be hosting 3 of your classmates for the night before reporting. I will promise dinner at my house to the first member of '09 from this forum that finds me in person in Colo Springs (AFTER 30 Jun 05) and says, "Good morning, sir, I met you on the college confidential forum."</p>
<p>Enjoy your last week and a half or so of civilian life. It's not "bad" when you get to the Academy (despite how it may seem, particularly at the beginning), but it definitely is different.</p>
<p>I only have a few more days here (overseas, compliments of the Academy) before I get back and finish preparing for your BCT with the rest of the cadre from my class and 07!</p>
<p>Wow, it's quite amazing really. It's so close. Four years ago, when the Academy was a far away dream, seems like just the other day. Sheesh, four months ago the Academy was a distant dream.
I can't decide if I'm excited or nervous.</p>
<p>I'll be nervous when I get there. For now, I'm trying to relax.</p>

<p>To any of you who flew into C-Springs today - First of all, you most likely saw me as I was one of the 4 cadets making sure you all knew where you were going, how you were getting there, etc. Secondly, you shouldn't be online right now during your last before coming here reading about Academy stuff!</p>
<p>Doc - I would have said hi if I had seen you, but I think I left before you arrived to pick up your 09ers.</p>
<p>My son & I are going to be coming to Colo Springs this weekend. The trip was his idea, and the stated purpose is to do a little hiking, but I believe that his real goal is to see some of the activity at the Academy. I suspect that we won't be able to see a lot, but do you have any suggestions on the best time & place for us to catch some of the going's on? We will arrive late Friday, and will be in the area until Tuesday.</p>
