People have said that the jhu adcom really likes the $10 essay. But how much would it matter if i did the other optional essay in its stead? I suck at narratives, and i think the other topic (which course has influenced you the most) lends it self to my writing style

HOWEVER, if the adcom really prefers the $10 essay, i'll risk it. Anyone have insight on this?

My plan was to write one of their essays, and I was going to do the influencial class one because I think the $10 topic is stupid. I ended up writing a good essay for the $10 question, so now I'm not doing the other one. Anyway, I think that you should definitely do one of them. I would suggest the $10 one because they seem to like it, especially if you are a middle of the road applicant. If you think it would be a lower quality than your common app essay (therefore hurting your application), then write the other one. The adcoms to prefer the $10 one, but given what you've said I think it would be smart for you to write the other one.

yea I know.. I'm trying to squeeze my brain out for the $10 essay...
i wanna show some creativity since my common app essay wasn't all that creative..

lol...send it to bangladesh, we're trying to start an outsourcing industry to compete with india, so we're liable to try twice as hard...don't know if it would be as good though :)

oops sorry. For anyone who's confused---
JHU essay is what u would buy or what adventure u'd have with 10 bucks.

I'd give $8 to JHU, $4 to charity, and the other $2 for a bag of chips (hey a dude's gotta eat) BTW can i get into the math honors program? LOOK AT MY SAT SCORES CMON!!!!
