did you guys write this essay in the future tense?

i wrote mine in conditional "we would....etc."---the tense issues are strangs----but, i didn't really focus on my actions through the day''s adventure...we would do this , that, etc.--i focus more on describing where i was and the purpose of my actions/choices behind the $10 adventure

would past tense be inappropriate?

yes i would think so because the question says----If you COULD PLAN a days adventure........where WOULD YOU GO..........,etc.----your planning it so yes the past tense i think would sound awkward---it hasn''t happened.....and future tense would be off beacause the question states IF YOU COULD----so its a hypothetical situation beacause jhu just want to see your response an what you WOULD plan=conditional---unless you used another medium besides an essay--like a video or something-----i''m sure you could play around with this though--this is just what sounds right to me--using another tense would seperate your essay a least a little from the actual question being asked

If you already wrote it, I don't think it should be that big of a deal. Like armcp said, I'm trying to figure out how you would describe a hypothetical situation that had already happened.

Anyway, it's the content and creativity that matters. Something as trivial as tense shouldn't matter all too much.

im asking because someone on this board posted their essay for that topic and it was in the past tense

Ha Ha Ha Ha -- another classice CC thread.

Do you all really think that when the adcoms read your $10 essays they are thinking about the tense you are using???

to rephrase what mdkeung stated,

"Something as trivial as tense DOESN'T matter."

Just write the most original, creative essay you can...and whatever tense you want to use, use it.

I wrote mine in the present. Is that ok?

I wrote mine in the present too. as if i'm taking the adventure right now.

I'm pretty sure mine's gonna be one of the most creative essay in the pool ;)

I'm so proud of myself for thinking it up. the only downside: it's 3 pages long...
Hope my 3 day work doesn't go down the TRASHCAN!!

single spaced?

I sure hope not.
