<p>I don't know if I'm looking too much into this (probably am, knowing me), but what tense do you guys use for the "Why ____" essays? </p>

vs
X College will give me the opportunities I need to do this...</p>

<p>Another question (sorry).... for these "Why" essays, are you putting intros/conclusions?</p>
<p>I don't think tense will matter too much to the admissions officials.</p>
