100 credit requirement for CAS transfers?

To graduate from CAS, one is required to take 100 credits in the College of Arts and Sciences. However, if one were to transfer in as a junior, how could one possibly fulfill this requirement?

4 semesters * 15 CAS credits = 60 credits. Even if you overloaded and did 18 CAS credits a semester, you would still only have 72 CAS credits.

Despite this, there are junior transfers to CAS pretty regularly. Does the administration cut down on the number of required CAS credits for transfer students?

The classes you took at your old school count towards the 100 credit requirement. So you’ll probably come in with 40-60 of those 100 credits (you can only transfer in 60 maximum) already met.

They obviously don’t expect people to finish 100 credits in 4 semesters.
