101 Reasons for Attending Rice!

check out the o-week pictures on the rice webpage…

How easy is “easy” to get onto a club sports team?

For my son’s club sport team, if you want to play - you’re on. Great team, really nice guys.

how is the diversity? are there any mongolian students?

Thank you anxiousmom. I’d be really interested in going out for a club sport. Looks like it would be a great experience. I would really miss it if I couldn’t participate in college.

I’m curious how the weather is too. Obviously it’s warm. Is the humidity bad?

Oh, and, I don’t remember if this is on the list. One of the most attracting features of Rice is the constantly applauded student body. Specifically, their openness. I’m definitely not the most physically fit person, and athletically I’m the least qualified you can probably imagine. But I love to play intramurals. It’s fun, I can be active, and it’s a great way to meet people. So I know at Rice if I join up, I won’t be shunned because I can’t kick a soccer ball from some other guy’s goalie!

Of course the weather is warm. It’s pretty humid as well. But I’d rather spend the winter in Houston than somewhere up north. Besides, just about all of the buildings are air-conditioned, and so is public transportation and cars…

The student body should definitely be applauded. As for intramurals, anyone can join as long as they want to! I have friends who never played a single sport in high school who are now on the rugby and soccer teams. I myself do dance at Rice, even though I haven’t had a dance lesson since kindergarten.

All in all, if you haven’t applied, I think that Rice is a great school to go to! Shoot for the moon! Even if you miss, you’ll land in the stars!

Fireworks on the evening before graduation! We live near Rice and always enjoy seeing the fireworks over the stadium on graduation weekend. The surrounding neighborhoods enjoy and benefit from the university, too.

Congratulations all graduating seniors!

Does anyone know what the requirements are to be accepted into this university???
P.S. If there is any other info plz feel free to share… comments on school… and stuff… =)

Siuol93 - please go to the [Rice University](http://www.rice.edu) website, and your questions will be answered there. If you have a specific question that is not addressed at the school website, you can start a new thread with your question. :)
