101 reasons to attend Michigan...

I got this idea from another forum. The other university listed 50 reasons. I personally think that 50 is way too little for a university like Michigan! Hehe!!! Anyway, I will start with 10 reasons and you guys take it from there. For each suggestion, cut and paste to keep it one long list.

That is such a funny story. I love the irony.

The MSU kids I knew from high school used to act the same way back in my college days. They'd take pride in the fact that some of the best partying on their campus was during the designated "study" days before finals. They'd mock us poor, abused Michigan kids since Ann Arbor was a ghost town during the same time period. They were in a state of shock that kids literally set up camp in the UGLi and graduate stacks. Talk about irony...I was asked..."You actually pay for that torture?"

21) Accessibility of graduate program to undergraduates. Almost all Honors math majors start taking graduate classes their Junior year, if not earlier.
22) Ralph Williams. Simply amazing for being but a simple Canadian.

23) Royal Shakespeare Company in residency (as a result of the man above). This year is the third time they've done it, every time doing more shows. Everybody has had amazing things to say about their productions.

24) Technology. We have computer centers all over campus, including in most residential halls, kerberos and AFS, we're one of few universities hooked up to Internet2, Wolverine Access, Ctools, etc.

25) Interesting topics classes/seminars. Right now I'm taking History of College Athletics, and a seminar tied in with the RSC's productions.

26) South Quad not only has it's own website, but we also have our own mascot (Squaddy the Squirrel). Squaddy was out on the front Quad greeting people at move-in, and was present at almost every event in the South Quad Olympics.

Those are awesome people. Keep 'em coming!

The new ROSS B-school Building costs 145 million. The B-school 's fundraising reaches 400 million in 3 years. The renovation of the BIG HOUSE costs about 250 million and gettiing LOUDDER !!! It 's so CoooooooooL!

27) The Annual West Quad/South Quad Snowball Fight.

28) Home to the most illustrious team in college football.

29) Possibly the ideal college experience.

30) Phenomenal networking possibilities.

32) Unique new "colosseum" style stadium. Too bad our mascots aren't the Praetorians.

Quite the conundrum.

Lol, apparently we at Michigan are incapable of counting. But it doesn't matter because I have five more reasons to attend this fine school.

1) You appreciate variety in your weather.
2) You own like ten North Face jackets

Is this credible? If so, I'm depressed. Oh well. And I'm used to Michigan winters, and that's actually farther south than I am now, so, bah. It still blows though.

Where are all these hot girls you speak of? Last time I checked Michigan isn't exactly known for its wealth of beauty...

Michigan, because it's warmer in winter than the University of Alaska at Fairbanks!

He was making a joke. He's saying that you'll go to U of M because you don't want to see hot girls ever again. Suggesting that there are no hot girls. Like I said, depressing. Although at least hopefully they'll be intelligent.
