10th grade I took AP Euro and AP Psych and got 4s on both (got lucky on Euro because I barely prepared and never read the textbook, nor paid much attention in class). This year I took AP US, AP Statistics and AP Language. I thought AP US mc was pretty hard, and AP Stat free response was pretty hard, but I blame myself for cramming every test throughout the year. US history I just did not like really, found hard, and never read/had time/enjoyed the textbook. For AP Language (didn't take exam yet), I find multiple choice pretty hard on practice exams.

I want to go into biomedical engineering or medicine, so what APs should I take? I don't want to overload myself, but I don't want to take too few APs. I want to take APs that will help me in my future and look good to colleges like Johns Hopkins (#1 choice school for me, although I have high doubts I'll get in). What I was considering:

-AP Chemistry
-AP Calculus AB (can't take BC because in my school you need a certain class that I didn't take; I took College Pre-Calculus, which means highest math I can take is AB Calc)
-AP Computer Science
-AP Microeconomics or AP Government, maybe both

Comments? Suggestions? Too much? Too little?

If you want to go into biomedical stuff, why not AP Bio? And AP Chem is evil, just saying.

Add in AP Bio. It’s an awesome class, and an easy AP if you just memorize the stuff.

AP Calculus and AP [Science] are a must. Well not a must, but not only are they interesting, but they (most APs as well) open up a lot of options.

I say you take AP Calculus AB (self-study BC, it’s easy!) and AP Chemistry (Biology too). The rest are up to you, many self-study them but you’ll be taking a class, so I don’t know how much of a workload those classes at your school give. But remember that you’ll be filling out college apps, possibly studying for SATs, and having the time of your life
(expect senioritis too of course).

Sweet! yeah…I got in to Hopkins and I am so excited to be going there! You can do it lol
My ACT scores sucked lol but everything else was good
I took these my senior year:
-AP Spanish Language
-AP English Lit
-AP Chem
-Calc AB (that’s as far as my school goes lol)
-Student Council (I’m VP haha so officers have a class period)
-Cheerleading 1st semester (I was the mascot :D) and Anatomy and Physiology second semester

I loved my schedule lol
I took ap biology last year though so I definitely recommend it if you haven’t taken it yet…I’m a huge bio freak haha
whatever you do…definitely take rigorous courses…Hopkins likes that
so you look like you’re on the right path! :)

You can just drop an AP class 2nd semester if you want to relax. Lol, I’m doing that. Work hard 1st semester, play hard 2nd semester :]
