12th Grader at a Music school wanting a real college..yikes!

Hey everyone!
I'm an 12th grader, who was pretty sure that I was going to make music and singing my career. Unfortunetly, I have decided against it. In 9th grade I was accepted for Spring Semester and attended private school for Winter Semester. However, in 10th grade, I was asked to enroll full time, they had an open space. So I gave everything up and went for the school. Well, now I have big dreams of going to college, and I don't wish to study music any longer. I was hoping Ivy Leagues, but now that I've missed so much educational training, I will end up most likely at a community college, or university, which is fine with me. However, I don't know if that will cut it.

Heres what I got for you right now:

4.0 GPA

Classes I'm taking now:

Studio Time (11th, 12th)
Music Tutor for younger kids (10th, 11th)

What are my hopes?? I don't want music anymore, I am looking at giving it up as soon as I graduate.

As for a college, I don't care if its community or university, what ever it takes to get me into college. I am looking at majoring in journalisim, communications, or political science?
Any help would be great!!

I think you are going to have to look at exactly what academics you have and go from there. For example, many colleges want you to have 4 years of English, 3-4 years of math, 3 years of social studies of some kind, 2-3 years of science including lab science and some foreign language. You are also going to most likely need test scores - either ACT or SAT. There are some schools that don't require these but given your lack of academic classes, without test scores they may have difficulty evaluating your ability to be successful in college.

If you are lacking the basic academic requirements you may need to go to community college for 2 years to get those things done and demonstrate your ability to do academic work. If you have the required academic classes, then this forum would need more info about you before we can make recommendations. For example, which part of the country, size, urban or rural, etc.
