You have a chance but obvi not a shoe in. Wats ur unweighted gpa?

wat state r u from? Do you have good ecs, recs, rewards?

i have good EC's...........no inventions, but substantial, many awards.......probably good recs.

UW: 3.61 (YEHhhh)

Hopefully I can get strong SATII's in before ED.

from CAli..............

bumpppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppppp

If your GPA and SAT score are both below average for Cornell, why should they accept you? In other words, what are you above average in?

so what does that mean........i have no chance because of the 14 B's? People on other threads said different because of the rank...now im confused

I sense grade deflation. Nice. If you get 2300.. then you're in great shape.

Let's try this again. You have a 3.6 UW GPA and a 1900 SAT score. You are deficient in the two most important criteria for admission. Therefore, you need to make up for those deficiencies in the other areas of your app. So what part of your application stands out?

I got a 2090 on the SATs, 3.67 Unweighted GPA, took all AP classes where offered, had some awards, was ranked 19/430, and I just got in off the waitlist. So there's definitely a chance for you.

I don't think u understand wat is being said. He isn't insulting u...norcal is asking "what makes you special?" What makes you stand out from ur scores since those alone won't get u in.

but still..............i havent invented anything.........i play a unique sport and do the charity things every year.......asisde from that im normal!

There's always hope, but you are expecting a big SAT jump.

I'd say deferred on ED.

If you have a 3.61 unweighted GPA and an 11/600 rank, then your school must be really tough. The adcoms will see that, though, so don't worry too much about it. Just make sure you get that SAT score up and write good essays. Like norcal hinted at, make yourself stand OUT!

it isnt known to be hard, but the school is. What percentage of a chance would i have with my 1920?

what about with a 2300?

5.63% with a 1920

18.77777777777...% with a 2300

?????????????????????????????

now there is an official chance trhead

sorry but its hihgly unlikely that u will go from a 1920 to a 2300 unless u were really sick when u took it the first time but GL. I still think that there is a chance u could get in tho if u write really good essays.

If you had a 2300 with that kind of GPA, then I might believe that your school is hard. But an excellent rank, so-so GPA, with a so-so SAT score quite frankly just suggests to me that your schoolmates aren't very smart.
