14 credits too few for first semester?

I've decided to take four classes that add up to 14 credits. If I add a fifth class, it bumps that up to 17 credits, which seems like a lot for first term. But, is 14 a bit too slackerish?

the minimum is 12, so I would assume 14 is OK. Why not take a 1 credit class too.

Yeah, add a phys ed or something and you have 15, which is like taking five 3-credit courses.

On the other hand, it wouldn't be awful to jump right in with five. I got a lot of credits up front and now I'm able to cut back senior year.

I would seriously add on another class if you have frontiers first semester -- but yeah, I think very few people (even first semester) have below 15/16 units...Add on a PE class. Even if they're "full" now, space will open up at the beginning of the semester
