Does anyone have an experience with the book? I've read that the questions are much harder than the actual test itself (which I like). How does the difficulty compare to Barron's?

anyone…?

I haven’t personally tried the book, but you might find this interesting:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/544092-complete-guide-sat-subject-tests-mathematics.html

i did it, the tests was SOOOO hard. i got in the 500s for some of the tests and got an easy 800 on the real test. it was kind of fun if you enjoy a challenge, but completely over the top.

besides
15 practice tests is kinda overkill dont you think? O.o

^yes.
++++++++++

Yeah, I thought about getting a book (I took the test in Dec), but decided against it. THe only thing that kinda sucked for me is that I’m in AP Calc right now, so half the stuff on the test I hadn’t covered in like 6 months. O.O If you’re looking for some last-minute review, I recommend the guide on SparkNotes, which covers pretty much anything that could possibly be on the test, along with practice exams (I didn’t look at any of those, though, so I can’t exactly attest to their quality). It totally saved my life, since I got a 790, and I left several questions blank.

I got that book but I still haven’t practiced with it. I’m still working on the Barron’s Math II and it’s harrrrd. But it’s better for the practice to be hard and get better scores on the real deal than the other way round lol

I have the Barron’s Math II book and I must say that the review section is really lacking, they have neither the breadth nor the depth in review topics. If you want a prep book that covers most of the things (plus more in-depth), I suggest using the SparkNotes online book.

Although I’m still using the Barron’s book for the practice tests + Sparknotes tests + RUSH

I solved every single question in this book. It’s absolutely a challenge. I’m sure %90 of those who scored 800 on the real thing can’t score more than a 700 on one of its tests. I kinda liked the book because there were many questions that make you feel that you are a math genius. But it won’t help you on the real thing, for sure. The real thing is a lot easier than this book. If you enjoy solving crazy math problems, you may consider buying it(i enjoy)

Okay after going through some of the questions of this book…damn, Barron’s is like child’s play compared to the 15 tests. This thing is BRUTAL.

barron’s is a bit easy. the real thing is, I think, harder than it.

I am kinda looking for some good prep for 2c; does this meylani book really help?

and i am not too bad in math

just got meylani level 2, guys, the tests are really hard but my friends say the actual jan 2010 test was way harder than the previously released ones, so i am hoping to get weel prepped with meylani and nail the level 2 test this June

I have ‘’ Math SAT 800: How to Master the Toughest Problems’'. It has very difficult questions.

I suggest it. :)

any way I can find Math SAT 800 and 15 Realistic Tests on a regular bookstore, not an online one?
