<p>Is the short answer essay for the common app supposed to be a factual elaboration on one of your activities, or can it be more creative writing oriented? I wrote about a dance I choreographed and what the personal experience was like, sort of poetic. Is this the direction I should take, or should I factually describe what my entire dance experience is?</p>
<p>since there were only 150 words that you can use, i think they are looking for something more focused, more descriptive about what you did. I think that the big essay is where they want you to focus on your personal writing style, and here they really just want to know what you did in dance.</p>
