I got a 760 verbal 750 math on a practice SAT and I'm a sophmore so I was wondering what to expect in those categories when I take the SAT. I know the writing part will be very unpredictable so I'm not asking for that prediction.

Well, on the May 1997(I think) practice test in 10 Real SATs, I got a 1480 (M:680, V:800). It was the highest I ever got on a practice test, in the comfort of my own home, of course. But on the January '05 SAT, which was the last old one, I only got a 1350 (M:600, V:750). I was very disappointed, although it's a pretty high score for most of the schools I applied to. I guess nervousness played a big part.

But since you're just a sophomore, I'd certainly expect both your scores to go up to the upper 700s. There is a decent chance you might get a perfect score on one section. Keep up the great work!

for me, it was the other way around. my highest score on a 10 real sat's test was about a 1480 (M:710,V:770), but on the dec. test it went up to a 1580 (M:780,V:800). so your scores could possibly go up. i think i did better on the real test because at home i would usually rush through the test (i would take 1.5 hours instead of 2.5) and i usually didn't bother to check my work.
