16 credits + FWS + extracurriculars = manageable?

Finally constructed a schedule that suits my interests/needs/background...I'm an aspiring psych major with either a minor/second major in music (with perhaps a minor in French):

Math 155a (4 credits)
Music 121 and 121E (3 credits)
FYS: Phil 115F (3 credits)
Psych 101 (3 credits)
French 201W (3 credits)

The courses I'm considering don't seem like real heavyweights, but they total up to 16 credits (slightly above average workload). Combined with a federal work study and some religious/musical extracurriculars, would that be manageable? Anyone know enough to comment on the rigor/characteristics of these courses?

I’m a freshman myself, but I have heard it is not advisable to take two writing courses in one semester (seminar and French).

I’ve heard that math 155 is a weed-out course and v. tough

i’m also an incoming freshman, but I actually heard that math 155 is easier from a grades standpoint than math 150 and I’ve heard this in several places so I’d assume it’s true. Would any current students be able to further comment on what kasiiaaa said? Because I’m planning on taking a freshman writing seminar and spanish 201W; so I would like to know if this is truly not advisable. I heard spanish 201W doesn’t actually involve a ton of writing, I don’t know if it’s the same case with french.

Looks like a fairly easy courseload. It will be a good transition for you from high school.

it’s not bad courseload, you should have plenty of time for EC’s.

ya I am a rising sophmore, that schedule actually looks relatively easy compared to some I have seen, you will be fine.

I’m a rising sophomore. I took two writing courses at the same time. It’s not difficult at all and lots of people do it. Your schedule looks good and you should be able to handle it :)
