1625 - 1650 in fall freshman class

^^ I’m all for kudos (and, of course, raising our glasses) but, to be perfectly honest, I think FC should be “shown the money”…get him a paid position…

You guys are awfully nice, and if you want to write to Earl Retif and Scott Cowen, who am I to stop you? Of course, if there is ANY truth to what you say, they may not be too happy with me right now.

Cheers! Here’s to Fallenchemist! (Glass of hi protein, lo carb shake raised high)

You have that dead on, Vitrac. I hit my goal of 70 pounds lost, I feel great, and I am thinking of going for 80, which would put me only 10 pounds over my high school weight. I was skinny-average in high school, so that would really be something. But truth be told, I still indulge a bit every now and then. A good wine is one of the magical things in life, I must say.

fallenchemist, you just have to skip your dietary plan when you drop your daughter off in Aug. Too much temptations!

Seriously, many kudos to you! You need to be mentioned by Scott in his Tulane Talk!!!

Wow! We want pictures! I’ve lost almost 5. Ten to go.

Stonebridge, rest assured that one of the reasons I am doing this (although not the main reason, which is that it is just a good idea!) is so I can take a vacation and not worry about what I eat for a few days! I don’t worry about adding a couple of pounds in New Orleans knowing I can take it off again later without a doubt. Giving up eating what I want in New Orleans is not an option.

jym - since you already know me, I will send you pics later. Remind me in a while if I haven’t done it.

I am very anxious to see!! That is incredible!! You should come on over to the diet/exercise thread. Interesteddad has lost about that same amount of weight and other are on diet/exercise/regimens and shared recipes (mostly Idad does that). HEre’s the thread http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/parent-cafe/838576-diet-exercise-health-wellness-support-thread-249.html</a></p>

We should do a beefcake/cheesecake calendar with the stars of CC. Fallenchemist can be March for Mardi Gras! Proceeds to a college scholarship fund. Who’s on board?

Oh Good Lord!!! You better rethink that if you really want to sell any.

Free with a $10 donation :)

I’ll drink to that!

I wonder how many students the dorm being built by Butler will house? Will it be enough for the two consecutive larger than expected classes?

Actually, as a sophomore, I and many others were asked to leave Warren to migrate to another dorm so that Warren could be converted into a (mostly) freshman dorm. So I guess all the ones that won’t fit into Wall, Monroe, Paterson, Sharp, or JL will go there.

what is the name of the new dorm beside Butler?

here, smile12157-- http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/tulane-university/1164273-new-dorm-soho.html</a></p>

thanks. i wonder if the new dorm had something to do with more students.

Not really, they have needed it for some time. These things are planned years in advance. In fact for this, Tulane floated a bond issue (I think I have that right) that was like half for this dorm and half for something else. I am probably screwing up the details, but I know they did raise some of the money that way, back in November 2009. OK, found a link: [Tulane University wins preliminary approval to issue bonds for new dorm | NOLA.com](http://www.nola.com/business/index.ssf/2009/08/tulane_university_wins_prelimi.html)

a new 265-bed dorm

thank you fallenchemist. the extra 265 beds will certainly help

Still waiting on those photos, FC… Hint, hint.
