17 hours too much for first semester of freshman year?

This is my schedule as a bio major at Loyola:
GEN CHEMISTRY I LEC
CALCULUS I
CELLS AND HEREDITY
REBELLION & REVOLUTION IN CHINA
CELLS AND HEREDITY LAB
CALCULUS I
GEN CHEMISTRY I LAB HNRS
HONORS IGNATIAN COLLOQUIUM
CHEMISTRY RECITATION
MATH MODELS

I want to take a foreign language but I feel like I already have too much on my plate? What advice can yall give me?

I have no idea since I’m a freshmen as well but, I think were in chemistry together and Im in the honors program as well.

I’m not sure that the honors ignatian colloqium is a class per say. Do you know anything about it?

Also why are you in math models and calc? Perhaps you could take only one and then find room for a foreign language.

Your schedule already seems really difficult and science focused. I know that your a bio major, but there’s no need to knock out all the requirements at once. Maybe, it would be nice to take a break from science and take that foreign language class?

Anyway, that’s pretty much what I told my advicer and I’m getting to take the german class I really wanted to take.
I’m a psych pre-health major, so it’s a bit different, and I also had ap credit for bio. But i think it’s worth a shot.
