18 Percent Increase in ED 1 Applications

Implications? Reasons Why? Effect on Difficulty of Admission? I read the article and it sound likes nobody has any freakin clue.

Yeah this is bad, especially cuz now the likelyhood of admissions seems to have gone down. Since you being from Jersey and all it looks down cuz it was on the most common list. I hope you get in though, it seems you and I want it the most.

oops sorry i meant maryland

I want to get in too!~ don't exclude minorities ^^;

I kept reading over the list of the states who had the most applicants and thinking that they must have made a mistake! O well, I can't complain. And I bet that Washington JUST BARELY missed the list. lol.

oh no im sure all of us do, we have just been the foundation of this entire forum for the last few months, your definitely in there, no doubt!

I am pulling for you as well. And I can honestly say that, rather than some who claim that and in the back of their minds say "screw him, I only care about myself." You know what sucks though? I can't find any place to by Emory gear! I guess that's because they have no real sports teams, but I thought that all tops schools have websites where you can purchase merchandise. If I get in, I must come to school with an Emory hat/sweatshirt/sweatpants within a week!

You ppl post too much -_- but hey~ at least you guys are not having a Bio test like I do

Just wondering, Do I have to follow a certain guidelines to post here? or is it just a free for all?

O I know there are many members of the Emory ED Team, Farbdogg and I are just the captains. Jeez I need to go to bed. I keep forgetting that I live on the east coast. Later, guys.

You can always buy stuff from the Emory bookstore http://www.emory.bkstr.com/
A popular shirt (and one of my favorites) is one that says: Emory Football, Still Undefeated.

I can't find that one!

I just came back from school.. I was not the only one feeling anxious waiting for college reps

I guess this is a good thing, even though it will obviously make it a little bit harder to get it. IMO, it shows an increase in Emory as one's primary school, not just a backup for those who don't get into the Ivy league schools.

On a side note, it's good to hear ED is down at Yale. I was thinking of applying there but decided not to, but my friend is applying ED so hopefully this will help his chances.

Sorry! Not my intent. I just haven't seen you on here in a while.

So I called the admissions office to check that they got my SAT scores, and while I was on the line with them, I figured I would ask when the letters will be send out. Dec. 15th, just to clear up any notion otherwise. So I guess I am looking at either the 17th or 18th. HOPEFULLY. And for Farbdogg, maybe January. lol.

lol man, i cant be any further from emory than one can get, they will be calling to yell at me that i didnt put in the 450 $ deposit and they are revoking my admissions when i wont even know if i got in or not haha.

Haha. That'd be hilarious. I mean, not funny at all.

ok i just have to say this really quickly...

i love emory!!! i would like kill someone to get in (not literally only metaphorically lol) and it would suck so much not to get in after all of this

I feel ya. I feel like I have already made sort of a commitment to Emory in my mind and I really don't want to start thinking about possibly having to attend a school I don't want to. I wonder if the fact that I drink a lot of Coke will help. It IS called coca-cola U, after all.

I've seen some pepsi on campus!! I thought it was despicable.
