Yesterday I took a practice SAT for four hours and received a 1940 (W:620/8 CR: 600 M:720). I'm taking the May 5th SAT and i was wondering if getting a 2100 by that time is possible. Any advice as to what to do or practice? Thankss

the most important thing for critical reading is to study vocab words (at least for me). i had an old book of “hot SAT words” from my sister, and that’s really why i got an 800. i don’t understand how they grade the essay. i wrote a pretty good essay the 1st time and got a 9 and a terrible essay the 2nd time and got an 8. i’d say look into tips on how to write a 12 essay.

Complete jerk move.

But…: [Let me google that for you](<a href=“LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You”>LMGTFY - Let Me Google That For You)

I’m sure you heard this couple times already but the best way to improve scores in the SAT is retaking the test over and over again. It’s mind boggling but this constant repetition will help your mind be adjusted to how SAT asks its questions. You won’t fall for the same tricks twice…except for CR. In this case, just do what everybody says: Study your vocabulary. ^^

i’m not sure taking it that many times would be productive, especially if you’re applying to schools that don’t let you use score choice. i took it twice, and my score went up 100 points the 2nd time (up 30 or 40 in each section). it was just from being more used to the test/knowing that the sections are mixed up (not all writing, then all reading, then all math, etc.)

He meant take practice tests, not real tests. I took 10 practice tests in the week before my second sat attempt and I think(cross your fingers cuz I still got 46 hours to wait) that I increased my scores by 150 points.

Thanks for all the replies and yea Im going to go over a lot if vocab and just keep practicing
