It's about that time again - time to set aside Invisible Man for APUSH and pick up something I actually WANT to read. :p

I've got them both and each are ready to be cracked open.

But which to pick? Which to pickk?

Write a note that says “This book sucks” then read that note over and over again for 3 hours. That’s basically reading Wuthering Heights.

1984, albeit not the best dystopia book, is much much better and faster read than Wuthering heights.

1984 is one of the greatest books of all time. Start there. Incredible piece of classic literature, it will always remain in my top 10- hell top FIVE books of all time, and I’ve read a LOT of books in my 16 years of life.

Farenheit 451 is just as good, if not better. It is definently number 2 in my top five. But 1984 is still extremely satisfying

1984 is the best book of all time. Wuthering Heights isn’t as terrible as people make it out to be.

Fahrenheit 451 and Animal Farm will always be two of my favorite books, ever.

Ohhh, Animal Farm was great too, but not as great as 1984.

1984 > at least 90 % of all books existing.

G. Orzzz it is, then.

orwell is just such a nice boy :)

1984 is definitely better in my opinion.

I suggest Wuthering Heights.

JUST KIDDING.

Huh? Invisible Man is a great book. Or at least, I enjoyed it.

I haven’t read Wuthering Heights but 1984 is one of my favorite books of all time. Dante’s Divine Comedy also. I second Fahrenheit 451 as well.

Anything from Orwell.

I will never understand how the people I go to school with don’t like Animal Farm.

Wuthering Heights is excellent, and multi-layered. Really interesting.

They don’t like Animal Farm because they don’t have the exquisiteness to appreciate its beauty.

My school really p isses me off.

They don’t have the honors English sophomore read it, but instead have the basic level English sophomores read it.

It’s horrible. Why the hell would they do that. It’s an insult to the material.

Only senior classes read it at our school, don’t know if that’s good or bad. Btw I won’t ever read it as part of school curriculum because I’m in IB English, but I’ve read it several times outside of school

Heh… we read Animal Farm in 6th grade English… 1984 was freshman or sophomore year, though. And Pride and Prejudice for AP Lit. Seriously. ***? (Not suggesting that P&P is at all related to Orwell, but it’s such an easy read…)

1984 > Wuthering Heights, but Brave New World (Huxley dystopian stuff) > 1984.

the only things ive ever read by orwell for school are politics and the english language and down and out in paris and london(this was an optional summer book). im finishing up AP lang now, i dont understand why my school just skips over him

"Brave New World (Huxley dystopian stuff) > 1984. "

This is true.
