does anyone know if that helps? do they ask u this stuff?

yes the ask it

it helps, they expect less of a 1st gen college student than of a student whose parents went to universities and got degrees. their reasoning is that the 2nd studnet had a lot more opportunities than the 1st.

i hope it helps a lott...coz i have like a 3.83 gpa out of 4.0, and average for wharton is like 3.9, right?

It helps, I'm a first generation college student and I was accepted to Wharton ED.

I am firstgen but where the heck did they ask me this!?

Yes, because I looked at the online App, (although its not time for me to apply yet)

they did not ask.

I WANT TO GO TO WHARTON!!

hehe, u and everyone else on this board :)

i'm a first gen student

I am a first generation student with both parents graduated only from HS, hope that would help me? crossing my fingers...

it says "parent info, highest level of education etc and college attended if any" so they coudl infer from that...

what about you being the first to attend college in american? say if your parents went to college in china.

yea im wondering about canadia's question as well

I'm a first generation student, but I don't know if it will help. Anybody here class of 2006 plan on applying ED??

Socrates I am 06 and plan on applying to the college ED, not wharton

^^Same here.
