2.8 gpa transfer mech E

I am freaking out right now because all the schools are sending out letters.

i want to know what my chances are with a 2.8 gpa?
I applied to:
SDSU
SJSU
Pomona
CSUF
and SAC State

i just got rejected to CSULB

so i dont know what to think…
I live in OC area so im hoping CSUF will accept me since I am local
but my top pick is SDSU or SJSU

do you guys know anyone who got into the schools i just listed with a gpa of 2.8 or below in engineering?

I applied to CSULB, SJSU, SFSU with a 2.8 also but i’m a business major. I got rejected from CSULB. My top pick is SJSU, i’m worried I won’t get in.

I’d be surprised if a 2.8 would get you into SJSU. Sac and Fullerton are your best shots. Good luck.

i have a friend who got into sjsu with a ~3.0 for civil. he did however have all his requirements completely finished (entire physics/calc/statics/dynamics/ge’s). what classes are you missing or haven’t taken yet?

also, acceptances went out for transfers on 2/18.

@Caroo25‌ Yea my application was withdrawn but they have a spartan pathways program that i’m going to apply even though its mostly recommended for locals only.

I finished all my math/ physics/ GE’s but im missing only 1 engineering class, which might throw me off because i took engineering classes at a different CC so they both had different requirements.

i’m going to take all my shots if odds are near still zero.
