<p>Army boot sizes are nothing like the normal shoe sizes that you're used to. I wear size 12.5 normally. I wear a size 10.5 wide boot and 10 double wide low quarters. I showed up to R-day with one pair of boots and a pair of low quarters. You can show up with 2 pairs of boots, but it won't matter. By the end of the day, you will be issued up to whatever requirement of boots, low quarters, and court shoes (tennis shoes). As for breaking in boots, I wore my boots once to make sure they fit. Other than that, my boots never gave me any trouble. I wore the same pair of Bellevue boots all through beast and through the ruck marches. I would highly recommend these boots because they're so comfortable and breathable. Also, the beast cadre should take good care of your feet, so you shouldn't worry too much.</p>
