If anyone could give me some general information on the upcoming Parents Weekend, I'd appreciate it. Can siblings/grandparents attend? Do the cadets have liberty for the weekend/can they stay with their families at night? What time does PW end on Sunday...what time do the cadets need to be back at USNA? I have an exchange cadet so only know what's on USNA's website. Any tips or info would be a great help.

This is what I found on USNA website, looks like an entire plan of events for the weekend: http://www.usna.edu/Schedules/text/PW2011a.pdf

Anyone can attend, your cadet should have liberty unless they are on duty. Your cadet should be able to stay out w/ the family too as long as they submit a chit.

If it is the same as last year - they will not have an overnight, unless they have put in for a chit for a weekend or the Administration announces one after the football game (if they win). I do not recall the Brigade getting an overnight last year after a huge win over Rutgers.

The only real restrictions for parents weekend are: the mids (or cadets) can purchase a limited number of tickets for lunch at King Hall. My mid managed to get an extra for her grandmother from a friend whose family decided not to attend. The classroom spaces can be tight, so it might be difficult to bring a crowd. We were standing-room-only in electrical engineering; it would have been impossible for younger children to attend that particular class.

Check with your cadet on the number of tickets available for lunch and find out what classes he/she has on Friday. You may need to split the group up while some attend the lunch or class. There is always plenty to see on the Yard, so no one should be bored.
