Hi everyone

I was curious if any students here have taken two classes in a single summer session? If so, what was your experience taking 2 classes in a 6 week period?

I'd like to take 2 psych classes in summer session one and 2 psych classes in summer session 2, for a total of 4 classes next summer.

Is this a feasible plan or will the coursework and short period of time be too much to handle?

Thank you in advance

Last summer I took ochem + bio one session, and then bio + calculus the next session. I definitely felt really burnt out especially since you only get 2 weeks before fall starts up again.

In the end I personally prefer a challenging summer compared to a normal school quarter because although it’s a lot of work, you focus all your attention on two classes at a time rather than like four during the normal school year. So in a way it’s easier if you see it that way. I think you just really have to understand that it won’t really be a summer vacation anymore since you’re going to need to study (I’m sure psych has tons of reading) and go to class (which is twice as long in the summer). Once you let that go it is really doable.
