1st quarter ended today, and my results are pretty close to final. It looks like in Anatomy and Physiology (CIS) I will have a C as well as in AP Chemistry. Will this be a point of rescission? My schools don't see my senior year grades until the end of the year. And no, they don't average out with second quarter.

When you get acceptances, be sure to read any conditions that they may have, such as finishing high school with a certain level of grades.

The degree to which this will affect you depends on a lot of factors but mostly the selectivity of the colleges you are applying to. Harvard will be more bothered by than your local state college…
Also, if you are the type of student who always gets A’s but then starts getting C’s, it might look like you are slacking off.
I would talk to your guidance counselor about whether this is an issue.
Further, I think college require your high school to send them mid-year grades, so I’m not sure why you said the colleges won’t see anything until the end of the year?

It depends on the institutions you plan on attending, like the person above me mentioned. I think it would hurt you the most if these are your first 2 C’s. Not to scare you but I hope you do know that schools can withdraw acceptance offers. What schools have you applied to (or applying to)?

University of Washington is my top school. It looks like I pulled a B- in one of those classes, so that won’t be a C
