All B student having 2 C's senior year. Is it really bad?

I'm already an all B student (10-11th, on the five core subjects I usually got all B's except foreign language).

But this year (1st semester senior year) I've been doing especially bad. I have 3 APs, 1 Honors, and one non-AP.

In two classes (AP & Honors), I have an A. But in AP Lit, I have a B.
And then... in AP Calculus and REGULAR physics, I have C's. I don't even know how this has happened, but how bad is it?

If colleges saw it would they rescind me?

It all depends on which colleges. But to me, it does look like you might be slacking off a little this year which won’t impress most colleges.

It depends on the college. Right now you should step up your A game…oh…what a pun.

Well… I’ve been slacking off a little, but I’m actually just hopeless in Calculus, so that C is definitely staying if not going down. I’ll try to improve on the rest…

A B student getting two Cs is not dissimilar from an A student getting two Bs senior year. Your schools will not rescind offers over just that alone.

A D could be a different matter though. You need to keep up in calculus.

So the two C’s won’t be enough to get me rescinded…I sure, sure hope so… I will definitely try for a C. thanks griffen.

OP – search back 2-3 years under “rescind” or “rescission” and you’ll find an interesting pattern – most of the C or D grades in Sr. year that make graduating seniors worry about a rescinded acceptance are in AP Calculus!

a C in AP Calculus is not terrible unless you’re applying to the Engineering school at a college. Believe me, adcoms see lots and lots of A students who get a C in AP Calculus. And in college, lots and lots of A/B students also get a C in college Calculus.

If you’re a mostly B student, your current grades are fine. Your AP Calculus C is a weighted B.
