2 Questions .. Self-Study/Courseload

Hey, I'm pretty new to this board, but I am interested in self-studying a few AP courses this year. I'm a junior and the only AP courses I am taking in school right now are APUSH, AP Span Lang, and AP Eng Lang (pretty much the max of APs I could take this year..Our school kinda sucks that way.. you have to take all your APs senior year). Next year I will be taking AP Bio, AP Physics, AP Eng Lit, AP Calc AB, AP Euro, and AP Span Lit. I actually have two questions.

1) What AP subjects do you think would be easiest for self-study? Gov't, Psych, anything else? I need to check the guides for some of my colleges to see if they accept credit from them before I decide, though. I know this has been asked before, but I've never considered self-study before so I am really interested.

2) I got a 90% in Pre-Cal Honors this past semester so I was consequently put into AP Calc AB for next year. Do you think that not taking BC will affect the "rigor" of my courseload? I could, if needed, talk to my math teacher and write a letter to the dept. and ask to be moved up, but I am not sure if it is worth. I will be taking both AP Bio and AP Phy next year so I am not sure if BC would be too much.

Thank you!!

I'm self-studying AP Psychology and AP English Literature on my own this year, as a junior. It's been really easy so far. If you're taking AP English Language right now, then self-studying Literature shouldn't be too hard, and Psych is not hard at all - a lot of it is just common sense.

I would definitely self-study Psych...tons of people do it. You still have time to start doing it this year if you're willing to pay the late registration fee for the AP exam.

As to the AB/BC dilemma...I would wait and see if you do any better in PreCalc honors this semester. If, for example, you get a 98%, I think you'd probably be ready for BC calc. If your grade drops to a B, take AB.
