2 SAT writing questions

It’s difficult to imagine how one can conceive of vivid, pictureesque details about an exotic and distant place that he has never one visited

a. It’s
b. conceive
c. about
d. he
e. no error

Clearly, i thought it was “he” because it does not agree with one. But my SAT english teacher said taht it was E no error, because he can work with one. That sounds kinda wrong, so am i right or is he right?

Which is right
a. Editing is more than just a stage in the writing process; it is the time to polish and hone a piece of writing

b. Editing is more than just a stage in the writing process: it is the time to polish and hone a piece of writing

I thought both can be right, but my teacher said only the one with semicolon is right…why? I thought colons can connect two sentences if the second sentence explains the first, like what the process was about?

WHat are your thoughts?

Well in terms of getting it right on the test, you are right.

Your teacher is right. Colons are for lists.

Hope this helps.

thanks for the response

I know it looks weird, but i just want to make sure both ways work...and not just one or the another.
thants why im confused...i dont know i just think my teacher is bad and my parents are wasting money, maybe thats why im asking the question....i just dont want that class to screw me up...
