2 yr at ACC/1 yr and transfer to Mcoombs

<p>Hi All</p>

<p>I want to know how long should I spend at Austin community college( 1 or 2 yr) before I transfer out to Mcoombs?</p>

<p>In other words would it be better for me to ' complete general Ed credits' at ACC taking 2 yrs( in terms of ease) or should I just complete one year at ACC and transfer to Mcoombs?</p>

<p>By end of one year I would have 30 credits atleast at ACC. I do not want to take TOO many credits as well</p>

<p>I am saying two years because Mcoombs admits only in Fall</p>

<p>Aside from the buisness indicator courses, which UT transferable courses should I take at ACC, which are considered HARDER at UT?</p>

<p>I’ve never heard of McOombs, but I would try to transfer into McCombs as fast as possible because you can start the business core classes your second year and it makes life a lot easier. You should definitely take the indicator courses as the above post says. Aside from that, take the governments and histories because very few classes give more than 15-20% A’s for the core classes of those at UT and I’ve heard that they are easy A’s at pretty much every other college in the country it seems. Everything else will be easier and probably give a higher A rate at ACC than at UT, but I think those would be the most dramatic aside from the indicator courses (which are some of the hardest lower-class courses at UT, especially the calculus!).</p>

<p>Take the indicator classes and then apply after one year. If you don’t get in, you can stay at ACC another year and apply again. <p>Interesting you ask, I was in the same position as you but at another community college. I did two years at a community college, then transferred into McCombs for this fall. I’ll be majoring in accounting. It is possible because I’m proof of that along with a few others on this forum, but you have to maintain the grades and you can not misspell McCombs anywhere on your application (essays, etc.) or your chances of being accepted are going to suffer. If I may ask, what are your stats like?.. Did you have heavy amounts of EC’s? Where you in the Top 10% in HS?..</p>

<p>High school is nothing compared to college. HS transcript is also irrelevant when it comes to transferring and I never sent it until I got accepted. 57 hours at the end of this Spring, 4.0. I did a lot of community service and was/am the lead logistics of a prestigious foundation. Your welcomed to PM me if ya need any help.</p>
