How hard is it to bump up your SAT scores 200 points? Say, from a 1220 to a 1420 (on the old test)... I am willing to do the work but I was just wondering thing like: How many questions do I need to get right that I got wrong?, how many can I omit?, etc. Thanks for the help.

That depends on what, exactly, your verbal and math scores were. The math scores are graded more harshly (score lowers faster) an the verbal scores more leniently (you can get a few wrong and still get an 800).

Either way, to raise that, you'll need to do some work, as you'll need to get nearly half of those you got wrong as opposed to missing them. But it's not impossible.

you can't take the SAT I (old) any more!!!
anyway, on the old, i went from 1170-1400, which is about a 200 points thing, i studied one hour every night for 3 months with 10 real

it also depends on the person. like you could be really intelligent and just not do naturally well on the sats but with just a little practice start to do really well. i have a high iq and i went up like 400 points after studying 2 days a week for 2 weeks. i know that if i took the studying really seriously i could get a perfect score easily just by studying for a week but i cant be arsed too.

Um... I read (and learned... learning is key) the grammar rules and went from a 540 to a 750 in Writing in about 2 or 3 months. But then again, I really didnt kno grammar so I don't kno how easy it'll be for someone who's already good at it. Like someone said earlier, it depends on the person.
