I'm just thinking about it...what would the 2000kids have to remember (tv show wise). So many shows come in go now that its impossible to keep up or remember any....honestly what 2000 show that doesn't show anymore do you remember?!

Our calendar is flawed, as it is based off of the birth of Jesus Christ, but Dennis the Small screwed that calculation up. It’s about 4 years off.

maybe Hannah Montana, word world, olivia (the pig)…!!!
no idea.

BTW, I’m just going to point out that anyone born after 1/1/95 doesn’t really count as a 90’s kid.

So I do count as a 90s kid…

I count as a 90s kid! I say its what you know/remember that makes you one after 1995

By his arbitrary line.

All of the lines will be arbitrary. Define yourself.

The early 2000s were better than the late 2000s. What will be significant about our teen years?

Yay I’m a 90s kid! But probably stuff like Lizzie McGuire, Hannah Montana, iCarly…

GLEE!!! Hahahah :)

Fair enough, perhaps the “arbitrary” line should be moved to 1/1/96. But if you don’t remember Y2K panic, or Millennium celebrations, Monica Lewinsky, and certainly pre-911 America, you just can’t be a 90’s kid.

(the point of the line is that if you’re born after it you don’t count, but that doesn’t guarantee your spot if you were born before it)

2000s can refer to the decade, century, or millennium.

That amused me.

The Clinton-Monica scandal was all over the news when I was a kid. But I never cared because I didn’t know it was about him lying about sex.

^I don’t know anything about that…

^How can you NOT know that? That was the scandal of the 90s.

I remember 9/11 happening in elementary school. I had scraped my knee during gym so I was in the gym teacher’s office getting a band aid and he had a TV in there with the news on and CNN was reporting that airplanes had crashed in NYC and DC. Then the whole school went crazy and we all got to go home early.

I also remember Clinton being on the cover of the newspaper A LOT when I was little, and I kept asking my Mom why, and she would say “he’s our president” and I said “well why is he on the newspaper?” and she said “well, he’s done some bad things.”
That makes me laugh, now, for some reason.

I guess 2000 kids would remember some of the later PBS kids shows? That Miguel and Maya one? I remember my friend’s little sister watching that on PBS. Phineus and Ferb, or however it’s spelled?

*Arlington, Virginia

that’s so raven!, dora the explorer, bob the builder, zoey 101 & spongebob could be some?

Who remembers how everyone was sad when Princess Diana died?

Somewhat, though I wouldn’t say everyone was visibly sad.

I remember when she died…vaguely…I was on the couch (remember how it looked like) sucking on a bottle of milk…i was probably like 4 around that time…i think. (It’s really weird though b/c i kinda have a good memory about stuff that happened in the past/my childhood really well).
